Megalovryso (older name Nivoliani, meaning heavenly town in Slavic) is built on two hills at an altitude of 600 m. on the slopes of Ossa. It is 43 km. far away from Larissa and 7 km. from
Agia. The village has been declared a traditional settlement and homes characterized by the uniformity of color. The chronology foundation range between the 11th-13th century. The 500 inhabitants located permanently in the village engaged in agriculture, horticulture.
The fountain ‘Mesochori’ graces the village, while the source of “Great Fountain” located 1 km. far away from the village literally drowning in pristine lush vegetation.
