Tempi Olumpus

The road trip in the valley of Tempe and the slopes of Lower Olympus combines nature, sightseeing and browsing quaint and historic villages of the
prefecture of Larissa.



The route starts from the Larissa and reaches in the village
Aigani . The focal points of this route are the villages
Ampelakia , Rapsani ,
Krania and Pyrgetos


Starting from Larissa our first destination is the picturesque village Ampelakia. Here you can admire the wonderful mansions and stroll the narrow
streets of the village.

Then the route you can stop in Agia Paraskevi of Tempe which you will walking over the river Pinios in the drawbridge! The church is built inside a
rock of Mount Olympus to a point of particular natural beauty. Continuing the route will pass through the picturesque villages Rapsani, Krania and Pyrgetos. Finally we reach the village Aigani.
In these villages we can enjoy your coffee or your food in the traditional cafes and restaurants and admire the traditional buildings and
historic monuments that exist.

The return to Larissa can be done through the highway of Tempe just next to the terminus of the route.

  • The distance of the route Pyrgetos to Aigani is about 8 kilometers and the time is about 15 minutes.
